EES scoping requirements to be released April 2021
The Minister for Planning is currently developing ‘scoping requirements’ for the environmental assessment process for the nine VMFRP sites.
Scoping requirements set out the matters to be investigated and documented in the Environment Effects Statements (EES) and Environment Reports which cover the four VMFRP zones:
Zone | Environment assessment process |
East (ER) | Environment Report for Gunbower and Guttrum–Benwell |
Central (ER) | Environment Report for Vinifera, Nyah and Burra Creek |
Central (EES) | Environment Effects Statement for Hattah Lakes North and Belsar–Yungera |
West (EES) | Environment Effects Statement for Wallpolla and Lindsay Island |
Stakeholders and community members will have the opportunity to give feedback on the EES scoping requirements when they are released by DELWP for public consultation over a period of at least 15 business days. DELWP’s estimated release date for scoping documents is late April 2021.
Scoping documents will be published on the DELWP website.
Scoping requirements for Environment Reports do not go through a public consultation process but will be made available online once they are finalised by DELWP.
