Expression of interest for Stakeholder Advisory Group members
Guttrum and Benwell State Forests and Gunbower National Park
Expressions of interest are sought from interested community members, forest user groups, Traditional Owners, and industry representatives to participate in two separate Stakeholder Advisory Groups to be established. The groups will facilitate community and key stakeholder input into two Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Projects (VMFRP) proposed for the Guttrum and Benwell State Forests and the Gunbower National Park.
These two projects involve works to efficiently and effectively deliver water to the water-dependent understorey of the River Red Gum forests’ floodplains and wetlands, providing ecological benefits without buying back further water from irrigators. The project is being delivered collaboratively by a regional partnership, coordinated by Lower Murray Water.
To express interest, community members are requested to download and submit an Expression of Interest Form to Shaun Morgan – VMFRP Senior Engagement Officer via email to shaun.morgan@vmfrp.vic.gov.au or via post to PO Box 18 Huntly VIC 3551
Expressions of interest close at 5 PM on Monday, 8 March 2021
Expressions of Interest will be evaluated by VMFRP and a diverse group of members will be invited to join. The Expression of Interest Form and draft Terms of Reference are available for download below.
For enquiries or further information, please contact Shaun Morgan on 0439 554 186.
If you are interested in applying to join a Stakeholder Advisory Group for the other VMFRP sites, email info@vmfrp.vic.gov.au
