NYAH-VINIFERA PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENTS GAZETTED

The Victorian Murray Floodplain Restoration Project (VMFRP) has reached another important milestone, with the Planning Scheme Amendments (PSAs) now gazetted for Nyah-Vinifera, bringing in line with Hattah Lakes, and Belsar-Yungera.

These approvals, alongside earlier Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act approvals, provide a clear pathway for delivering much-needed water to high-value floodplains along the Murray River.

With these approvals secured, the VMFRP team is now focused on meeting approval conditions and progressing planning for the remaining project sites—helping restore and protect some of Victoria’s most important floodplain ecosystems.
